ADELABU ADEJARE OLUKUNLE
Adelabu, Adejare Olukunle, was born in Ikorodu on August 4th, 1977 to the family of OLUKOTUN Emmanuel Olawale Adelabu and OLORI Ruth Adebola Adelabu, from Oyo State, Southwest, Nigeria.
He is the Founder/Reporter – in Chief, THE IMPACT newspaper, Tourism Developer, Researcher, Reporter, Writer, Public Commentator and Community Activist.
Adelabu started his primary school education at the Anglican Primary School, Ikorodu and later proceeded to the premier college in Ikorodu Division, Oriwu College Ikorodu (now Oriwu Junior and Senior Model Colleges, Ikorodu).
He attended the prestigious Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos where he studied History & International Studies and also Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) (now, Lagos State University of Science & Technology) where he studied Mass Communication.
To upgrade himself in his journalism career and tourism development, Adelabu had undergone various capacity building professional trainings including but not limited to: International Centre for Investigative Reporting, ICIR, 2020; Pulitzer Media Workshop on Data Journalism on Land and Property Matters, co – hosted by the Pulitzer Centre on Crisis Reporting & the University of Lagos, Centre of Excellence in Multimedia Technology & Cinematography, 2015; Hyper Community Journalism, University of Cardiff, UK (online); Lagos Journalism Clinic and Ministry of LG & Community Affairs, Lagos State Government sponsored trainings for Community Journalism Practitioners, 2016, 2018 and 2019 among others.
