SIR SENATOR KINGSLEY ADESEYE OGUNLEWE, FNSE.

Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe was born into the ruling family of Fadugba in Igbogbo Kingdom on the 6th day of December, 1945. He attended St.Patrick’s Catholic School, Idumagbo, Lagos for his Primary Education; Oriwu College, Ikorodu for his secondary education and University of Ibadan where he obtained B. Sc in Geography (1972), University of Lagos for Bachelor of Law (LL.B), 1977; Nigeria Law School for his Barrister at Law (B.L), 1981 and Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA, 2005.

In the course of his Public Service career, beginning in March 1966, he served as a Tax Assessment Clerk with Federal Board on Inland Revenue, an Administrative Officer Grade VIII in the office of the Secretary to the Lagos State Government. He has worked and served at different Government parastatals.

After retirement from Civil Service, he ventured into Politics in 1992 where he contested and won election into the Senate, representing Lagos East Senatorial District.

He is an Honorary Fellow of Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), the 11th person to have been so honoured; Fellow of Nigeria Institute of Surveyors, Fellow Nigeria Institute of Estate Surveyors & Valuers etc. he was also honoured with numerous Chieftaincy titles among others; The Oobong Uforo of Uyo, the Fuwagboye of Ikorodu, the Okai-Omee Ndigbo etc.

He belonged to numerous Social Organisations like, one of the Founding Fathers of IDRDG, Past President of Rotary Club of Oregun, Past President of Oriwu Club, Ikorodu, Ikoyi Club, 1938, Island Club, Chairman of IDRDG/ITHMB.

He is happily married with children and grandchildren.
